Heartburn Remedies You Should Consider For Permanent Relief

By Mikael G.J.

Heartburn is commonly known as acid reflux. There are many possible reasons for heartburn, including the foods that we eat and the way we live our lives. There is no simple cure for heartburn. The best that heartburn medicine and prevention can do is to lessen the effects of heartburn by masking the symptoms. Luckily, there are several heartburn remedies that we can use to alleviate the symptoms and minimize the effects of heartburn, such as:

Heartburn remedies that can be used in conjunction with the others are: Eating a diet low in fat, high in fiber and potassium rich fruits and vegetables can help to ease heartburn symptoms. Fatty, spicy and acidic foods can aggravate heartburn, which is why people who have heartburn are advised to stay away from these foods. Also, individuals with heartburn are advised to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to further dilute their stomach acids and neutralize the stomach’s production of digestive fluids.

Ginger is known as a Chinese herb that is very effective in heartburn remedies. Ginger works by increasing the amount of gastric juice and pepsin secretions in your stomach, thus helping to neutralize the stomach acids that cause indigestion. For best results, try to chew fresh ginger or take fresh ginger supplements. Fresh ginger tea is a very effective heartburn remedy when consumed on a daily basis. Ginger tea contains ginger essential oil that acts as a mild antiseptic.

Chewing cardamom seeds and fennel seeds also help in heartburn symptoms. Cardamom is known as a spice that enhances the taste of food. Fennel seed is known as a digestive stimulant that can stimulate the secretion of digestive juices in your stomach to aid digestion. If you are having digestive problems, chewing on fenugreek seeds and dry ginger is very helpful. Chewing basil leaves has been proven to be very effective in relieving frequent heartburn symptoms.

There are several home remedies for heartburn that you can try. First, you can try to gargle with saltwater or club soda mixed with lime juice. This is an effective heartburn remedy that has been used by many individuals for ages. Peppermint tea, which is available in various flavors, is also very good for heartburn. Simply add a teaspoon of peppermint paste to your glass of water and gargle with it for at least 30 minutes.

Antacids are not the heartburn remedies you need for heartburn symptoms. If you suffer from acid reflux, then the antacids can only provide temporary relief because they only neutralize the acid content of your stomach. Once the acid level in your stomach goes back to normal, then the antacids will no longer have any effect. In order to get permanent relief, you should consider herbal heartburn remedies such as fennel seeds, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger.

Home Remedies For Heartburn Can Relieve Your Symptoms

By Mikael G.J.

heartburn and pregnancy
Heartburn While Pregnant

Are you one of the many women in this world that suffer from heartburn during pregnancy? Do you feel that medications and synthetic drugs just aren’t doing the trick? There are many natural remedies for heartburn, but if heartburn tends to be your worst symptom, there really are very easy things that you can do to ease your chest pains. Heartburn most often is caused by too much acid at the back of the throat.

You can find a heartburn remedy anywhere, even if it’s just in your kitchen. The best heartburn remedy is to drink water. Drinking 8 glasses of water will dilute the acids in your stomach helping you to not have as painful a reaction. If you’ve eaten fatty or spicy meals, stop eating them and see if it helps your heartburn. Another heartburn remedy is to chew gum, but this may only mask the symptoms; the gum itself may also aggravate your condition.

One natural remedies for heartburn that you can try is ginger. Ginger has antiseptic properties and can relieve the pain from your heartburn. Simply chew a few pieces of ginger root and keep the ginger in your mouth. If you are having an uncomfortable feeling, then it is time to take your ginger root. Add the ginger root to your daily diet. There are also other natural ways to relieve heartburn such as taking a hot bath, drinking yogurt, eating yogurt and adding yogurt to your salad.

Stress relief is another one of the natural ways to relieve heartburn. Some people recommend yoga as a way to relief your digestive problems. While there isn’t scientific evidence to suggest yoga will aid in digestion problems, you might want to give it a try. It’s good to get away from the computer and the TV for a little bit and just relax. Yoga also helps you to relax your body and mind. You’ll notice an improvement in both of these factors.

If the symptoms persist even after taking these natural home remedies for heartburn, then it is time to take the next step and see a doctor. He can perform a test called endoscopy that will show you whether or not your acid reflux is being caused by esophageal sphincter failure or some other medical condition. He can also take an endoscopy with a video camera so you can see what exactly your esophagus looks like. This exam will not only provide the most accurate diagnosis but it will save you a lot of money because you no longer have to undergo costly surgery. Instead, you will likely need to take an acid reflux medication to control your symptoms until you get the correct diagnosis.

Many people choose to treat their symptoms naturally to save money, but if you really want to reduce heartburn then you will probably need to try a few different natural remedies. If the symptoms persist, regardless of the remedy you use, then it is time to talk to your doctor. But until then, try some of these simple home remedies for heartburn:

This is one of my favorite meals from Purple carrot so far. It was extremely simple to make and I loved every bite. I didn't use the chilies as I am not a huge fan of spicy chili peppers. And I have by accident rubbed my eyes with that chili juice on my hands and have paid dearly for it. So I just left it out of the recipe... and I didn't miss it. But you might enjoy it ...so add them as you like.

Welcome To Our Site

By Mikael G.J.

Hello and Welcome,

Thank you for stopping by and checking out our site. I can assure you that if you are looking for an easy answer to stopping your heartburn or acid reflux, then you have come to the right place. I have suffered from acid reflux now for at least 10 years. I have tried almost everything to stop this… from Tums to Zantac to to other medications that are over the counter as well as some prescription drugs as well. It always comes back to severe burning and pain in my throat and stomach. I have posted several articles on some of the cause and some of the natural cures for this.  from Apple Cider vinegar to eating better to the foods that actually can cause acid reflux pain or heartburn pain. Please check them out if they look like they might help you.

Healthy eating

I have recently discovered a new, more healthy approach to curing acid reflux. And that is eating better. Removing the major culprits that are actually causing my pain. The worst of these culprits is bread, crackers, cookies, cakes, … ANYTHING that has wheat and gluten in it. And that is a real bummer because I am a cookie monster. I have been known to eat an entire bag of Oreo’s in one sitting. However, there are new options that have really helped me with my breads addiction. The first thing I have changed is I now eat Udi’s Gluten Free Breads… my personal favorite is the Millet bread with Chia seeds. Personally I love it. They have other breads as well that you can try. You will see that these are amazing alternatives to real breads that are sold in stores.

Also, I have now discovered a meal delivery company called Purple Carrot. It is a strictly vegan food preparation company. But man-oh-man… this place is the bomb. ALL of my acid reflux symptoms have completely disappeared. And I am actually learning how to cook vegan foods… because they send you the meals and the recipes on how to cook the food. And it is so delicious that I have fallen in love with this place. I get 3 meals per week. each meal serves two people…me and my wife. So we are eating healthier and experiencing much less heartburn pain. You need to definitely try them out.

heartburn and pregnancy
Acid Reflux While Pregnant

I will be posting the recipes that I have personally tried to great success. They are all gluten free, which in my case is the biggest offender of my acid reflux. Glutens!!! I will show you the ingredients as well as the recipes on how to cook each meal. There will some pictures for you to enjoy as well. I am also including a link to Purple Carrot so that you can go and try them out. At least you should look at their site and see if they will work for you. When you break down the actual costs with what you are receiving, it comes down to about $11.50 per person per meal. And that is pretty good and affordable…for my anyways. As I love to go out and eat at restaurants. And I don’t know of many places that I can get a GREAT Vegan meal for under $25 for the two of us.

Anyways, this is a brief, but hearty welcome. Please look around for what you may need. I sincerely hope that you will find what you need in order to stop your acid reflux / heartburn agony. If you can then that is great. Please drop me a line letting me know of any suggestions or success stories. I wish you all the best in your journey to be pain free. Life is so much better with being able to eat freely and to your hearts content.

Mikael
