Bad Foods Definitely cause Bad Heartburn

Foods that cause heartburn can make a big difference in how your day is going to turn out. If you’re dealing with the symptoms of heartburn often it can really get you down and prevent you from enjoying any of the foods that you love. Eating a lot of chocolate and fried foods are something that will cause heartburn for many people. Eating certain types of foods can cause heartburn too, such as those that are high in fat, or spicy foods. You need to know the foods that cause heartburn so that you don’t continue to eat in this manner.

GERD, short for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, is basically irritation of your esophageal sphincter caused by improperly digested food. When food passes too quickly down the throat, it can damage the sensitive lining of your esophageal wall and can even cause internal damage. Heartburn is usually a burning sensation that most people experience at some point during their daily life. It’s usually easy to identify because of the pain that can be felt in the chest, behind the sternum. Some people may experience symptoms other than heartburn such as pressure or bloating. However, most of the time heartburn will lead to another symptom called acid reflux, which means that the burning will come on again.

There are a lot of different foods that cause heartburn, but spicy and fried foods seem to irritate the most sensitive parts of your esophageal tract. Because the lower esophageal sphincter is located right below the stomach, the food can’t go back up from the stomach and the acid will stay in the lower esophageal tract where it belongs. When this happens regularly, you can end up with symptoms like heartburn over again. One of the best remedies for these kinds of heartburn symptoms is to simply avoid spicy and fried foods whenever possible.

Heartburn symptoms can also occur when the food moves down into your esophageal muscles. This occurs when gravity isn’t working correctly in your body and the stomach acid has been pushed back up into your esophagus. This can happen in the upper or lower intestines depending on your particular circumstances. The good news is that there are natural remedies that you can use to help get those symptoms under control so that you can get on with your day and not have to worry about what is going on in your body.

For the most part, avoiding those foods that cause reflux is simple. You just have to be careful about certain foods, such as tomatoes and citrus fruit, because they can easily cause your heartburn symptoms to worsen. Foods that are high in fat should be avoided as well because this in turn can increase the amount of acid in your stomach, further contributing to your reflux problems. You should also eat smaller meals more often because this helps you to make sure that your stomach isn’t working too hard to digest the food that you are eating.

If you aren’t already aware, heartburn affects millions of people worldwide each day. You don’t have to live with the discomfort that it causes without treatment because there are natural cures for heartburn and other types of heartburn symptoms that you can use right now. The good news is that there are many different natural remedies that you can find and take advantage of. You may want to take a trip to your local grocery store today and grab some apple cider vinegar; if you have a bottle of this at home, you don’t even need to purchase the bottled version because you can simply make your own! There are many foods that cause heartburn and other heartburn symptoms, so you have no reason to continue suffering from this ailment when there are natural cures at your disposal.
