Paleo Diet Meal Plan – Dinner Options For A Paleo Diet

Paleo Meal at Restaurant

When you hear someone talking about the paleo diet, the picture that often comes to mind is a person slowly eating less and living off meat, fish, and fresh vegetables for the majority of their diet. This diet does away with all of the fancy processed foods that we are so used to. Also, it doesn’t count calories or limit portion sizes. It’s more of an all natural way of eating.

The basic philosophy behind this diet is that food has to be eaten in its most natural state, raw and unprocessed. This also means that the refined grains, processed foods, and white bread that you find in the store now are no longer on the menu. Instead, you’re going to be eating foods like nuts, meats, fruits, vegetables, and even cooked meat. The paleo diet isn’t based around the theory that these things are what our bodies were intended to consume, rather the fact that these things go well with each other and offer the nutrients that our bodies need.

A common Paleo meal is a salad. Any salad will do, as long as you add plenty of crunchy, fresh vegetables to it. One of the best salads to go along with this type of meal is a baked chicken salad. You can add any number of vegetables to this meal and have a tasty, healthy treat during lunch or dinner.

Another great Paleo meal idea is a baked sweet potato. Again, you can use any kind of sweet potato that you prefer. For lunch or dinner you can make up a mashed potato cake with some brownie ingredients. If you are making the cake yourself, be sure to use all natural unsweetened, real butter and real cream in your recipe. You don’t have to follow an exact recipe for these ingredients; just try to be as true to the original recipe as possible.

Another good idea for Paleo dinner is something called a Paleo chocolate cake. Chocolate is always a delicious addition to food, especially in the context of dessert. If you’ve never made a chocolate cake before, it can actually be very simple and easy to make. Just go to your local market and buy some chocolate cake mix, nonfat or fat-free, and chocolate chips. Mix these three things together and you have your very own chocolate cake.

One of the easiest Paleo dinner ideas is to make a one-pot meals like crock pot pulled pork. Although this may sound complicated, it’s actually not that hard to make. All you have to do is combine a couple of ingredients, like onions, garlic, and seasonings, and let the crock pot do the rest!
