Gerd Pain Feels Like Your Stomach is On Fire

If you have a heartburn problem then you need to learn how to cure her. It is very easy to get back into the problem again if you do not know how to cure it properly. There are many remedies and home cures that can help you overcome the problem but the first step that you should take is to find out why you have the condition. When you know the reason, you can easily find out how to cure it for good.

The cause of GERD is acid reflux. The esophagus is connected to the stomach by a small valve that remains open. This is because the muscular sphincter at the top of the stomach prevents acid from travelling back up the esophagus. When food comes in the stomach acid quickly backs up into the throat causing discomfort. This is a common problem for most people especially during the lunch time. It is however not restricted to this time of day.

Some people have more serious problems when the valve between the stomach and esophagus is damaged. This can result in a hiatal hernia, which is when the stomach expands in the absence of a protective barrier. This can be caused by a number of factors. For example, some people will eat large meals that will make them sit down for a longer period of time. Another cause of GERD is eating foods that contain excessive amounts of fat.

If you want to know how to cure her permanently, you will also need to consider what you can change about your lifestyle. You need to eat less fatty and acidic foods. If you eat a lot of spicy foods you should drink less alcohol as these are all fat-generating foods. Also drinking lots of water is essential as it helps to keep the stomach acid levels down. You should aim to drink around 2 liters of water every day for this is an excellent way of flushing the body of toxins.

Other things that you can do to reduce the risk of GERD is to exercise on a regular basis. This is because exercise strengthens the muscles in the stomach. This in turn helps to prevent the stomach acids from rising to the esophagus. You should always be sitting or resting fully when you are working out which will reduce the strain on the stomach.

In addition to changing your diet, if you are worried about the side effects of certain prescription medications you may want to try a natural treatment for GERD. There are plenty of herbs that can help to naturally treat and cure GERD. These include peppermint, which can help to reduce the inflammation as well as soothing the lining of the esophagus. Other herbs that can help to treat the problem include aloe vera, which can be used topically to treat the pain, and ginger, which are excellent at easing the stomach acids and preventing them from rising to the esophagus.
