Restaurants That Offer Gluten Free Foods

By Mika

Do you love to eat out at restaurants, but hate having to leave the house because of the restaurant’s gluten free menu? If so, then you are in for a great treat. Gluten free eating options are available all over the United States and certainly all over the world. If you have Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance, then you know how difficult it can be to eat the same foods as everyone else. It is very common for people with these conditions to be allergic to certain things. Restaurants should be willing to remove any gluten from their menus, if they claim that it is gluten free.

Even if they do not have an option for your particular allergy, some restaurants are now beginning to cater to those who have this issue. Many have added small plates that will only let you order one item at a time. This way you do not have to stand there and ask if it is okay to have gluten in your food. Now you can simply request that it be served to you. Many restaurants that offer gluten free dishes now cater to this demand and are adding it as an additional service.

Some of the new dining establishments that offer this type of food are focusing on desserts and baked goods. You can even find pizza ovens that will allow you to have a delicious gluten free pizza right in your home. This is a very nice option for someone who does not want to go out to a restaurant. You can choose from many different styles and ingredients, which make it easy to find something you enjoy. Restaurants that do not serve gluten-free foods are beginning to change this with the rising demands.

People who live with Celiac Disease or those who are gluten intolerant need to understand that there are foods out there that will enable them to enjoy the same foods that everyone else enjoys. It is just a matter of understanding that the labels say that they are gluten free. There are a lot of great foods that you can have. You can even eat gluten free ice cream or chocolate cake. If you have a sweet tooth then this is the menu for you. Restaurants are becoming creative with their menu and more people are discovering this amazing alternative to eating regular foods that are bad for them.

When restaurants make these kinds of dishes, it does not mean that they have changed them to be healthier or that they are catering to those with special dietary needs. It simply means that they chose to use healthier ingredients that are good for you as well as the ones that are safe for those with Celiac Disease. If you are interested in trying one of these restaurants out then you may be surprised at how affordable they are. Of course, you will want to make sure that you check the label before you order so that you are not buying something that you will regret eating. You can find many restaurants that are willing to do this for a small fee. They may have an entire section devoted to this type of dining if you look hard enough.

Remember that if you are looking for a restaurant that serves gluten free foods then you will want to make sure that you are careful. Find out what ingredients they use and what exactly is in the food. You can find out this information on the back of the packaging. Be aware that some foods will use the term “gluten” and that does not mean that it is gluten free. Make sure that you know what you are buying and how it is prepared.

Oatmeal Gluten Free Hot Cereal

By Mika

Oatmeal is a Great Gluten Free Meal

Many people have come to think that consuming is oatmeal gluten free is a bad thing. In fact, the opposite is true. Oatmeal is actually one of the tastiest foods on earth, and even those with celiac disease or allergies can eat oatmeal gluten free without any problems.

To make your oatmeal gluten free, all you need is oats, water, brown sugar, and non-iodized salt. Mix these ingredients together until they are completely blended. You can store this mix in the refrigerator for up to three weeks, which will ensure that it stays fresh and does not spoil. Of course, this would not be recommended for those who are allergic to oats or have a problem with digestion. But if you are one of those people, or just dislike the taste of regular oats, this would be the perfect substitute.

Gluten free oatmeal is highly beneficial for your health in several ways. It helps you feel full for a longer period of time, thereby reducing weight. It also reduces the risk of developing osteoporosis. For those with celiac disease or those who simply want to have more energy and better digestion, oatmeal is extremely beneficial. On top of that, gluten free oatmeal also tastes great and provides plenty of dietary fiber and other nutrients that are important for the body.

The best choice is always going to be organic oatmeal. This means that it was not treated with any pesticides, fertilizers, hormones or other chemicals. If possible, you should choose oatmeal that contains no additives or added ingredients at all. For instance, if you are interested in starting to feel healthier and fitter, you may want to choose a blend of rolled oats. That way, you will be ingesting gluten-free whole grain oats, which contain all of the vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants your body needs to stay healthy. Similarly, if you are interested in starting to lose weight, choose an organic blend that will provide you with nutrients without adding unwanted calories.

One of the best things about gluten-free products is that they often taste better than their “normal” counterparts. If you are trying to stick to a diet, it can sometimes be difficult to find foods that you enjoy. However, when you choose an all-natural product like oatmeal gluten-free hot cereal, you can eat anything that you want. Because of this, it is often easier for people with celiac disease or those trying to eat a gluten-free diet to transition into these products. By eating something else while still eating a gluten-free diet, it is much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle and lose weight.

In addition to providing plenty of vitamins, minerals and fiber, quinoa and other healthy grains also provide some nutritional support. Because the grains are high in protein, they can help boost the immune system. Gluten is known to have a negative effect on the digestive system, but studies have found that gluten-free oats reduce the risk of digestive disorders like irritable bowel syndrome and irritable bowel disease (IBD). It has also been shown that gluten reduces the risk of osteoporosis. So not only do oats provide an important source of vitamins, minerals and fiber, they can also provide some added protection against common ailments that occur when one lacks gluten.

Gluten Free Rice – Is It Really Worth it?

By Mika

If You Suffer From Acid Reflux… Gluten Free Foods Are Miracles.

If you want to have a well-balanced diet, you should be aware that gluten and rice are not usually an ingredient of your standard food. This might sound strange and even disgusting but you’ll be glad to know that it is not. Gluten and rice are commonly found in foods like pizza, pasta, cakes, cookies, bagels, burgers, hot dogs, seafood, and even egg whites. If you’ve been avoiding gluten and rice gluten free food, you will be pleasantly surprised to learn that there are many substitute products that can help you enjoy your favorite meals. You just have to be careful when shopping for them and you can find gluten-free and rice gluten free substitutes at pretty much any grocery store or health food specialty shop. Here are some of the most popular substitutes:

  • Gluten free pasta – There are many different brands of gluten free pasta but it is important to note that the usual brandy pasta is not really a substitute because they still use flour. It is best to avoid regular pasta in favor of the instant and homemade brands that are healthier and more economical. Look for long grain brown rice that is higher in the vitamin Bs and iron. Then, make sure to add some nutritional yeast, garlic, and onion to your dish. This is how you get a delicious, healthy, and budget-friendly pasta meal that is also gluten and rice gluten free.
  • Rice – For your stir-fry, you can try substituting rice flour with rice flour. That way, you won’t have to worry about having a huge mess all over your kitchen. All you need is a teaspoon of your preferred spice and mix it into your batter. Then, just cook your rice gluten free on top of your traditional food. You can add it to soups, salads, and a variety of other dishes.
  • Rice cereal – Did you know that rice is actually a staple in many people’s diets? It’s not uncommon to find people skipping breakfast just so they can have a bowl of rice for the day. While the flavor may be there, it’s often missing something. Adding rice gluten free to your diet is easy and will help give you the nutrition that you’re looking for without any of the high-gluten ingredients found in normal rice cereals. Add it to your morning oatmeal or your nightly porridge.
  • Cooking rice gluten free – Even if you like to cook, it’s not as easy as it seems. There are a lot of tricks and techniques to mastering the art of cooking rice gluten free. For example, you can completely cook your rice by adding it to boiling water while it’s still at a high degree of liquid state. It will prevent the starch from solidifying which prevents it from working its way down the digestive tract. Then, gently fold it over the other side until all of the starch is removed leaving you with rice that is perfectly smooth and has no lumps or bumps.

If you’re not the artsy type, there are more convenient methods to prepare rice that are free of gluten. You can make a great rice salad by cutting up a couple of cups of uncooked brown rice (my personal favorite) and adding to a vinaigrette or mayonnaise and mixing well. Or, you can make a rice pilaf with uncooked long grain rice that can be served with vegetables or fish. I would recommend trying both methods to see what you like best, but both are easy enough that you could do it on your own. Enjoy your new addition to your diet. It can be a great change of pace from traditional wheat grains.
