Is Rice Gluten Free?

By Mika

Rice Can be Gluten Free- Just Make Sure its Organic.

There has been a lot of talk about whether rice gluten free is healthy or not. If you are like me and have Celiac Disease, then the answer is most definitely “no”. I’ve suffered with the disease for years and have learned over time that it can really make eating a lot of food difficult. I still eat junk food every few days, so it is very important for me to make sure that I don’t cross contaminate anything.

But I am starting to change my diet and eliminate rice gluten free as a source of nourishment. It is a staple in many American diets and is something that most people think they can’t live without. However, this is simply untrue. You can still get the benefits of the grain, such as high levels of fiber, protein, and complex carbohydrates. And you don’t have to eliminate it from your diet completely.

The first thing that you need to do is make sure that you are buying organic rice gluten free. This is going to be an expensive undertaking, but it is worth it. Organic means it is grown without using chemicals, fertilizers, or pesticides. This is especially important if you are consuming huge amounts of it at every meal. Since there are many pesticides and fertilizers that are not organic, you want to make sure that you are buying something that is truly organic.

There are two ways that you can cook rice gluten free. You can either buy it already made or cook it yourself. I prefer to cook it myself because the nutritional facts should be listed on the packaging.

When cooking rice gluten free, you need to use oatmeal. I don’t care how you get it, just make sure it is gluten free. I prefer organic oats because they taste better and don’t cause my digestive problems as much. If you want oatmeal that has been processed, go ahead and use regular oats. They work just as well.

Make sure that you are drinking enough water each day. Having said that, if you feel thirsty you probably are not drinking enough water. Also, remember to snack on fruits. Fruits are healthy and they are great for your diet when you are trying to lose weight and get healthy, especially rice gluten free.

There are many delicious recipes out there for rice gluten free on the Internet. Just do a search and you will find dozens of recipes for rice. If you like to cook you might even put together your own rice meals. It is not that hard and it will taste so much better than any frozen meal.

I love eating rice gluten free. It is such a comfort food. I will eat it any time of day and in any season. I don’t have any cravings and I always feel full when I have rice. I guess it is because of all the antioxidants in the rice. It keeps you healthy and satisfied.
